Goings on…

If you are in the neighborhood this Thursday, I will be presenting with some fellow BSU librarians a discussion on eBooks at the Idaho Libraries Association conference being held in Nampa, ID. The talk is about how eBooks have settled into being routine and revisiting how libraries and patrons actually use them. The ILA program descriptions can be viewed here: http://www.idaholibraries.org/node/194

I am also coordinating a poster/media contest for our library to help promote our services and resources. Information on the contest can be viewed here: http://library.boisestate.edu/staff/librarycontest.htm

Finally, to toot my own horn, an article I co-wrote about criminology resources was tentatively accepted by References and User Services Quarterly (RUSQ) in the Alert Collector section. I’ll give more info once that gets closer to being published. But yay!, for being published!

Academic Projects

Originally I had a copy of my vitae listed here.

Instead a better option would be to look at this page here which lists my academic projects and information.

Behold the Bibliochair!

Nobody&Co. makes this multi-functional seating unit. Too tired to get up and search the stacks? Well with this chair you don’t have to! Pretty awesome no?

The only problem I see, is that library catalogers might have a fit adding another location in the online catalog for the books located in this chair. Do you think that would be too much of a real obstacle to overcome to get these in libraries?

Thanks to Core 77.com for hipping me to this fine piece of furniture.
